Search for Sponsors Begins on the Heels of Back-to-School Season
(October 1, 2019)— Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA), Ontario’s leading secondary school athletic association, today names Spectra, leaders in an industry leader in naming rights, sponsorships and hospitality, as its official sponsorship arm.
OFSAA, the second largest high school athletic association in North America, serves as a standard-bearer for secondary school athletic programs, hosting 44 provincial championships and festivals every year. The federation supports 20 school sports throughout the entirety of the academic year, starting in October with golf and field hockey championships, and ending the year with soccer, track and field, and baseball competitions.
“With tens of thousands of Ontarian secondary school students participating in sports every year, this young audience—full of emerging leaders in Ontario’s sporting community—is impressive in its size and scope,” Bryan Furey, Senior Vice President of Spectra’s Partnerships division, said. “Spectra Partnerships is extremely proud to work with the standard-bearer for excellence in secondary school athletics.”
At OFSAA events, partners will have the opportunity to sponsor assets including dasher boards, in-ice logos, banners, digital signs, floor graphics, website/social media exposure and more. Spectra is seeking out companies to become presenting sponsors, platinum-level partners, as well as volunteer partners, media partners, and official suppliers.
“We’re excited to capitalize on the back-to-school momentum and start of the new sports season to seek community partners for OFSAA,” Brent Harrison, Spectra’s Regional Director of Partnerships in Canada, said. “At all levels, sponsors will have the opportunity to truly connect with and establish roots in the province’s sports leaders on the rise.”
OFSAA’s national partners include: Government of Ontario, Nike Canada, Ontario University Athletics, Ontario Colleges Athletic Association, Baden Canada, Black Knight Sales Canada, Yonex Canada, Molten USA, Jostens, and InnVest Hotels.
“OFSAA is really looking forward to teaming with Spectra in promoting all that we have to offer for student-athletes and teacher-coaches,” Doug Gellatly, Executive Director of OFSAA, said. “It will be rewarding to have our longstanding events enhanced greatly through the sponsorship expertise of Spectra.”
